Who we are!
ROCrageous® Sidewalk Ministry, an outreach ministry of Odessa Christian Faith Center, has a mission to minister to the families in our community by showing the love of Jesus to them. We want to challenge each child to dream big, work hard and turn away from the negative parts of life, such as drugs, gangs, etc. We encourage the parents by showing them that there are people who care.

What we do!
Every other week we arrive at each complex with our ROCmobile (a Wells Fargo trailer that has been converted into a sound stage, complete with puppet stage). We play games, sing songs and teach lessons that are taught with fun and creative object lessons. Characters such as Rovercomer and Smacks the gorilla teach children important life lessons on a level that everyone will understand. Our ministers are excited, loving and joyful people who share the love of God.

Throughout the year we bless the families of each complex with special gifts that come from our church family. In August, children Kindergarten through 6th grade are given school supplies to begin the school year. In November, each family receives a blessing basket filled with all supplies needed for a Thanksgiving dinner. In December, families join with us for Kidz Christmas where all enjoy one of our dramatic presentations like "The Grunch," or "Toy Store." Each child receives a present and a stocking filled with Christmas goodies, while parents receive gifts filled with coupons to restaurants and stores in our community.
